How Prodigy.NET Email Support Works
Prodigy.net Email Support Are the prodigy domain email accounts being discontinued. I've heard AT&T is dropping some of its old email domains, and know people who can no longer access their prodigy emails. Do they just need to reset their password or what?
Does Mail bird Support IMAM?
/ Does Mail bird Support POP?
Yes. Mail bird uses IMAM or POP to connect to
most email providers. Mail bird's technology can detect the server settings
automatically when you enter your email address.
If it is unable to detect the settings, you can
set up your email manually by entering the details your provider has listed for
their server settings: like the MAP or POP Port and IMAM or POP Security.
You will also need to enter the username and
password you have assigned with your email provider.
they are not discontinuing the legacy accounts
so I don't know where you heard anything to the contrary. The problem is
that at and yahoo have emerged the legacy accounts (e.g. globalization,
pacbell.net, bellybutton, etc., i.e., any at domain other than attune) from
yahoo but it appears to be a (never ending IMO) work in progress. Many
others with legacy accounts are having login problems as well. Resetting
the password is a recommended first attempt at trying to fix your problem (see
announcement to the right of your post above).
How can I import my old emails?
If your old emails are still available in your
account, they will automatically be imported. IMAM protocol syncs your emails
and folders with the email server, making it possible to manage your emails on
any device that is connected to your account.
Once you add your Prodigy.net account to Mail
bird, it will grant you access to your emails immediately, no further action is
required.
Note: If your emails are from your local
server, it won’t be possible to import them because of IMAM protocols.
prodigy.net email forwarding
As everyone on this forum knows, the old
prodigy, bellybutton, globalization, etc accounts are all now handled through
currently.com and yahoo.com. Yahoo Mail no longer allows mail forwarding from
within their portal without paying monthly for Yahoo Mail Plus. I have the
correct password and tried accessing the account within Gmail using yahoo pop
servers.
Can anyone tell me the 2022 instructions on how
to either forward old prodigy.net (attune/globalization/etc) email accounts to
Gmail or access them through Gmail (or Google Workspace) via POP or other means?
